A group of Qatari entities and institutions, the Investment Promotion Agency in Qatar, the Qatar Financial Centre, the Qatar Free Zones Authority and Qatari Diar are participating in the State of Qatar pavilion. His Excellency Mr. Sultan bin Rashid Al Khater, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, headed the delegation of the State of Qatar participating in the exhibition, and participated in the work of the opening session of the exhibition, and the work of the discussion session held under the title: High-quality development of cross-border investment and the launch of reports on the development of Chinese companies in the United Arab Emirates, France, Mexico, and Uzbekistan. On this occasion, HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry praised the strong historical relations between the State of Qatar and the People's Republic of China, pointing out in this regard that China is at the forefront of the country's trade partners and is the largest source of imports to the Qatari market, and the largest destination for Qatari exports. He stated that the participation of the State of Qatar in this year's edition of the exhibition comes out of its belief in the importance of partnership as a main guarantee to strengthen bilateral relations between countries. It is noteworthy that the China International Investment and Trade Fair is held in September of each year in Xiamen, where it annually attracts many businessmen, senior officials, organizations and bodies specialized in promoting investment from around the world, and the exhibition is an open gate to access investment opportunities in China, Asia and the world.For its part, this year's edition of the exhibition witnessed the organization of a series of seminars, presentations and interactive sessions, focusing on a number of key issues and themes including attracting foreign investment, strategies to reach universality, bilateral and multilateral economic and trade exchanges, sustainable development, smart manufacturing, digital economy, the Belt and Road Initiative and others.
